This website currently implements several features designed to improve accessibility.

As part of our ongoing developments we will be developing this website and all materials in accordance with the "Bobby" and "Section 508 standards". These include the use of ALT tags to make the resources friendly to speech converters such as "JAWS" and customisable colours and fonts.

Accommodation for people of all needs helps increase the availability of high quality experiences to every individual. Users of websites include an increasing number of people with sensory, physical or learning disabilities, who rely on adaptive technologies for a gateway to information and education. CentralBudapest.com is working with leaders in the accessibility field to ensure that our software complies with both industry standards and federal guidelines for accessibility.

CentralBudapest.com conducts internal and external accessibility audits of our website and resources against both industry standards (e.g. Web Accessibility Initiative Standards - WAIS, W3C) and Section 508 guidelines. CentralBudapest.com views this to be a critical component of our resource development process.

The Adaptive Technology Resource Centre

The centre works closely with education, government, industry and organizational partners to increase accessibility and awareness of access issues. The ATRC consults to decision making bodies locally, nationally and globally on issues related to access to information technology. The ATRC also provides information, demonstrations, and training in the use of access technology to educators, students, the media and the general public.

IBM Accessibility Center
